Student Mentor Program
DeGroote Mentor Program - Student Code of Conduct
I, the undersigned, understand that it is a privilege to participate in the DeGroote Mentor Program and that the mentors are donating their own valuable time to aid in my development. By agreeing to this document, I agree to the following conditions of my participation in the DeGroote Mentor Program:

  1. I agree to contact my mentor to introduce myself and to invite them to the kick-off reception within seven (7) days of being matched with a mentor.

  2. When meeting with my mentor, I will wear appropriate business attire.

  3. I will contact my mentor in advance if I have to cancel an interview, meeting or appointment.

  4. I will conduct myself in a professional manner as a representative of the DeGroote School of Business.

  5. I will write my mentor a thank you letter within forty-eight (48) hours of my meeting/speaking with them.

  6. I will provide the Centre for Business Career Development with the appropriate feedback on the DeGroote Mentor Program when asked to do so.

  7. Though it is possible that employment may stem from contact with my mentor, I will, under no circumstances, ask my mentor for a job.
