DSB-A201 Research Interests: Digital Literacy, Information Literacy, Community Informatics, Electronic Government, Portal Adoption and Use, Web Information Seeking, Knowledge Management Seeking Doctoral Students: I am looking to supervise a PhD student in the area of digital literacy starting in September 2012. Digital literacy is the ability to locate, organize, understand, evaluate, and create information using digital technology for a knowledge-based society. In 2012, I am planning to conduct a detailed research investigation concerning the role of academic libraries at universities in promoting digital literacy skills among students. Those interested in this specific topic OR in the general area of digital literacy (e.g., digital literacy in the workplace, digital literacy in society) are encouraged to apply to our doctoral program and/or contact me for more information about this area of research.
